Our Pool

Photobucket
I feel like I haven't paid proper tribute to the pool this year.

Photobucket
Which would be unfair because we have loved it as much this year as any other!

Photobucket
My kids are without a doubt, FISH. They are awesome swimmers, it is amazing what you can do when you start so young.

Photobucket
The diving board is a favorite, even Zoe loves jumping off of it over and over in her little life jacket. We have to get that kid learning to swim next year cause she has NO fear of the water!

Photobucket Sage is a nautral and can give JJ a run for his money in a race, in fact I think last time he may have beat him!

Photobucket
There is an endless amount of tricks to do off the diving board.

My wish is for summer to never end, unfortunatley it is winding down. School has begun, fall is in the air...but it has once again been an incredible summer!

I am so proud to have such great swimming kids (I am not a swimmer) and we are so lucky to have our very own private pool. As I was growing up, we always took the obligatory swimming lessons each summer, but then as I got older the skill of swimming got lost along the way.

Swimming is something my kids can take with them throughout their lives and because they started so young and continue to hone their skill, they will always be great swimmers and who knows where that could lead!

Back to School

Photobucket

School started today...

We have been busy getting ready,

Playing really hard

Photobucket

Catching up on sleep whenever we can!

Photobucket

Sage decided he was pretty excited and when he came home today he couldn't stop talking..."and mom, and mom"!

Photobucket

Grace was excited to see all of her friends and she did ok with the school lunch, we are going to have to check the menu daily because she is so picky.
I have been lucky to never worry about that before with Sage.

Photobucket

They didn't let me walk them to the bus stop...

Photobucket

And there they go, now it's just me and Zoe!

All kinds of events

We have had lots of events these past few weeks.

Photobucket

Sage rode in his first ever BMX race, and won! JJ told me there was no way he would win, he was the only kid in regular street clothes rather than BMX riding gear. I looked at JJ on the first race when he was winning and he just shrugged. In the final race, I just watched with a sense of pride and a little dread (it makes me nervous even without a motor).

I ran my first 5K in Morgan on Saturday, a big deal for me considering a few months ago I couldn't run more than a few hundred yards without freaking myself out and saying I can't do it. JJ said it was a mental block and maybe he was right (just this once) cause I ran and it felt good!

It felt even better running with my family, Sage and Grace ran the whole thing ahead of me, I knew Sage could run (it comes easily to him) but I figured Grace would slow up at some point but her competitive instinct kicked in and she came in a few minutes after Sage across the finish line (both ahead of their mama) why is everything so much easier for kids?

Photobucket

Another visit from the tooth fairy...Grace is now free of her two gray "dead" front teeth!

Photobucket

My baby got her ears pierced...We took the kids school shopping in Salt Lake this weekend and stayed at Little America, we all had a good time, everyone tolerated the shopping.

Photobucket

We didn't plan on earrings, Zoe has been talking about it for months but we were never very serious. We went in Claire's for Grace to look at earrings and Zoe said she wanted them too, I never would have done it without JJ being there too, I was freaking out enough for the both of us. JJ says it's a good thing we didn't plan it or I would have chickened out (he may have been right a second time).

Zoe did great, she cried after and told Sage, that lady hurt me!
Now she says, my earrings still a little bit hurt (wish me luck, I hope I can keep them free of infection), and keep her happy with her new pink earrings!

And now it's August 1st...for us that means we are ready for some football!

The boys start tonight!
