Merry Christmas to All

We had a great Christmas and as per tradition, Santa and the grandparents did not disappoint.

Photobucket

Christmas night, three very tired kiddos!

Photobucket

I took Grace to the Nutcracker, it was her first ballet, it was so much fun to take her. I think she really enjoyed it and I loved seeing it again, it had been many years since I had seen it. Hopefully by next year I can take both my girls...maybe the whole family but something tells me JJ and Sage would get bored!

Photobucket

Favorites for Sage included:
another new bike (go figure)
a yo-yo
lots of new clothes
a helicopter (which my some miracle is not broken yet)

Photobucket

Favorites for Grace:
a new American Girl doll
darling clothes

Photobucket

Zoe's favorites:
Her Bitty Twins
The baby stroller
I love her clothes, she tolerates them

Photobucket

She tells me...this is how mommy's hold their babies!

Photobucket

The kids got new tumbling mats complete with a beam from my parents, lots of darling clothes and fun toys from JJ's parents and countless toys from others.

We also got lots of new puzzles at my request, we are all on a puzzle kick and I was really tired of doing the same puzzles. This week, JJ is off work which has been so much fun, so far I have loved not having any schedules or anything we have to do...our house looked like a tornado came through it up until yesterday and I was good with that (even then, we only cleaned up because friends were coming over). We have been playing with toys, doing many puzzles and enjoying the break from reality...wishing we had some snow!

Photobucket

A big Thank You to our families and friends for making our Christmas magical, we love you all!

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a Good Night!

Tis the Season

We are very excited that Christmas is only one week away!

Photobucket

We have been busy going to Christmas parties, I love seeing all of my cousins, aunts uncles and family, it is so much fun!

Photobucket

We made a hot cocoa bar, all of the kids loved it and ate every last snowman!

Photobucket

Visiting Santa...Sage was stressed about what to tell Santa he wanted

Photobucket

Grace came home one day and told JJ she knew about Santa...We did our best to ignore it and are keeping Santa going as long as we can.

Seeing both Grace and Sage with Santa, they both want to BELIEVE!

Photobucket

Zoe changes her story with Santa and everyone else she talks to, at this point we are just hoping she is happy with anything.
A little Elf is visiting us this year and the kids are LOVING him. They named him Jake, they run to find him every morning...luckily he has been pretty good at remembering to hide every night. I hope Zoe is not giving him a new list of toys to report back to Santa!

Photobucket

We made Gingerbread People

Photobucket

Which mostly amounted to a MESS

Photobucket
Loving the lights at Zoolights

Photobucket
It was a love/hate thing for Zoe

Photobucket

I love this time of year. I am just as excited as the kids for Christmas, if it would just hurry and get here!

Love that girl

We have had some bugs at our house since Thanksgiving...

I have a cold that is kicking my trash, it may or may not have been compounded by the shopping all night Black Friday events.

Zoe and I have not been doing too much this week (I will regret the not shopping for Christmas later)!

Photobucket

Yesterday, I stopped to get a Chai Latte on the way to baby ballerina and as I was driving to her class she said...mom your getting to have what dad and papa has, I was thinking oh boy, what is that? First I guessed a penis, no...then I guessed a mustache and she said yes (now that's great for the self esteem when your 3 year old tells you that you have a mustache)! Thank goodness she redeemed herself when she said, cause your drinking coffee you have a mustache like dad and papa! Not sure how that all goes together but thank goodness for me she hasn't noticed any unwanted hair.

Love that girl, she is my full time sidekick, luckily she makes me laugh!

Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving from our house to yours!

Photobucket

A few weeks back, my kids had a sleepover at the grandparents, JJ and I spent a quiet night at home watching a movie and a very quiet morning running errands. I thought back to a time in our lives...before kids. Our house was quiet, our nights calm, everything was very organized and yet something was missing. While I wouldn't trade the time JJ and I had for anything, having children and becoming a mom to is a greater happiness than I could have imagined.

I am forever grateful for Sage, Grace and Zoe...they make my life complete (chaos and all)!

I am so lucky to have the greatest husband, father to my children and love of my life. JJ is my rock, he is the rational to my irrational, he is the calm to my passion, he is the yin to my yang...he is the best man I could ever ask for. He works incredibly hard to provide for all of us, and thank goodness he is the best chef around or we all might starve (certainly, we would get bored with my sad cooking skills).

My family means the world to me and that includes my parents and my sister who would do anything for us. They love us unconditionally and I couldn't imagine a world with them not in it.

I have been part of JJ's family for what seems like forever and have gained brothers and sisters in the process, I love them all. They make it so easy to love them, they are so caring and generous and I couldn't ask for better in-laws!

I know this is getting a little sappy, but what do you expect...its Thanksgiving.

I am so incredibly thankful for...
Family
Friends
Good Health
Happiness
It's a wonderful life!

Happy Belated Halloween

As I said, I'm a little behind
Photobucket

Two witches and a beat up BMX bike rider...

Photobucket

After Zoe and I helped at Grace's class party, we all headed up to Morgan to the business trick-or-treat. Lucky for us, the weather was very nice for us to enjoy it instead of freezing like we did for Saturday's soccer games!

Photobucket

The weather was so beautiful on Sunday, we played in the leaves...

And threw rocks in the river

Photobucket

I can't believe it is November already.

Photobucket

We got the biggest treat of all on Halloween evening. Our very close friends came over to trick or treat, they pointed out their boys shirts each one with a number, 1-4 and then my darling friend uncovered her shirt...it said 5 & 6!

It took me a moment and then I freaked out and had to sit down. We are so excited for them and can't wait to help with everything. My girls have already informed me that they are having girls.

Hope everyone enjoyed Halloween as much as we did, my kids are already talking about their costumes for next year!

Our Disney Trip

I'm sorry I have been so slow, I can't seem to catch up from our little vacation to Disneyland!

Photobucket

Photobucket
The kids all had a great time, Zoe had her moments (of not so good).

Photobucket

The character dinner at Goofy's Kitchen the first night was a hit!
Photobucket

Photobucket

Zoe liked them all EXCPET Goofy!

Photobucket
Some of the lines were pretty long, but the kids did very well, we used fast passes a lot!

Photobucket

Zoe loved the parade, it was awesome and so was the light show. The waiting was killer but well worth it. Disneyland is amazing that way, all of the rides, shows and everything are so great it makes you forget the waiting.

Photobucket

Here is our crew, JJ's parents, our niece and one of his cousins and his family. Our kids had so much fun with all of their cousins.

Photobucket

We did learn a few lessons, like don't go over UEA, in fact we will try to avoid going over any weekend next time (and yes there will be a next time, JJ).

Photobucket

Zoe's favorite thing was the princesses, but she liked all of the kid-friendly rides, unfortunately sometimes she did not want to get off of them. We bought her a baby Minnie Mouse on one of the first days and she carried it around with her the ENTIRE trip (luckily she washed right up when we got home).

Photobucket

Sage's favorite ride was the California Screamer roller coaster, he rode it at least a dozen times with fast passes.

Photobucket

Grace did not like being left with the little kids so she tried most of the big rides that she was tall enough for, her favorite was Space Mountain. She did the Tower of Terror twice but got more nervous the second time and decided she was done with that.

Photobucket
They all loved getting their faces painted...

Photobucket

just in time for the girls to go to a Princess lunch and meet many princesses

Photobucket

I lost track of them all, but they met Ariel, Belle, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty

Photobucket

And of course Cinderella.

Photobucket

Thanks everyone for such a fun, memorable trip!
