We have had the best fall weather, just the way I like it nice and warm, until today...now we have snow!
Grace continues to be my sweetheart, she is a pleaser and is always willing to help me with anything including her sister. She is so good with Zoe, it is amazing! She is very social and on any given day has a list of kids who want to play, sometimes, it is tough for me to keep up with her social calendar.
She is taking clogging and tumbling this year and has been playing soccer.
During football the girls and I would usually stay at practice, I would watch and the girls would play with all the other kids. Grace was quick to make friends with all the other players siblings. There is this darling girl who calls Grace "Grapes" it took us a bit to realize it but she figured that was her name and it stuck.
Our little Morgan Trojans went to the playoffs so our season was an extra few weeks, by the end of last week I was very ready to be finished. It was so nice to eat dinner last night as a family at a normal hour without rushing. Our first week of no practices, but Sage is already asking me what he is going to do now...tumbling, karate, basketball, skiing...he is up for it all.
Our future cheerleaders, they suffered through many practices and games!
Monday night was the end of season football party with the team, he was so cute and all the boys were wild and excited. It was great to see Sage interact with his team, he started out the season not knowing anyone on his team (most were from Morgan and went to a different elementary school) but he ended up with lots of good friends.
The coaches gave them a gift and trophy and said something about each team member individually...they said Sage was one they wanted in the draft, he is one of the fastest kids and if he decides to play next year (IF?, yeah right), he will be a force on the football field.
Sage had an incredible first season and absolutely loved every second of football (not once did he complain about going to a practice), not once did he complain because he had to come home, get his homework done and get to practice (no time to play with friends)!
Now on to the next thing...whatever that may be!
I love this video and song...(am I really turning into a football mom?)
I am happy it is over, I am thankful we survived and I am most certain that we will have many more football seasons ahead of us!
A few weeks ago, we headed down south to our favorite place in St. George to celebrate my mom and Zoe's birthdays.
For a few, it was a quick trip, Sage and Jeremy came a few days later so that Sage could play his football game on Saturday. The girls and I went down with my parents earlier and enjoyed a little R&R, which was a good thing because once the boys came it was GO, GO, GO!
We enjoyed the splash pad and swimming
playing on the golf course at night
and driving the rock crawler at sunset
We had a great time as we always do playing and enjoying family!
My baby is eight, he is my first born and therefore will always be my baby!
He was such a little tiny thing when he was born, it is hard for me to believe how much he has grown, somehow he is the most shocking to me of all of my kids (I guess because he is the oldest). I was thinking about the day he was born, about Jeremy and I heading to the hospital and coming home with a baby...our lives would never be the same again.
Sage was the cutest little kid and was busy and full of energy right from the start.
He is a great friend
He loves sports, his current favorite is football, although he loves anything he tries
He loves being busy and entertained
We celebrated his birthday for a few days with a trip to Boondocks with some friends. Soccer games and football on Saturday, then dinner with my family at Kobe and on his birthday when his grandma Cindy called to wish him a HAPPY BIRTHDAY he said he wanted to come to her house for mashed potatoes and gravy...his favorite. Of course, grandma did not disappoint, she had all his favorites!
(finally lost that tooth with the new one coming in right behind it)
Happy Birthday, Sage I love you and could not be more proud of you!
