We had a 50th birthday party for our grandma Cindy and aunt Sandy, everyone had a good time. It sure beat going to a restaurant where everyone has to try to keep their kids quiet and no one can have fun and visit, there was no shortage of fun on this day!
Sage takes all his visitors up to the sandpit behind our house (if you are up for the short hike).
Luckily we had a few eggs for a game of rolling and passing...
Unfortunately, they were not hard boiled...nice throw Grace!
This is Zoe trying rice cereal for the first time, seriously it was like we were giving her lemons!
She is starting to like it just a little bit, but introduce anything else, applesauce, pears, sweet potatoes and the reaction is lemons and limes!
We are taking it slowly.
Sage has always been a great eater, he continues to be willing to try new things and usually he likes them.
Grace, on the other hand is very picky. When we introduced her to food at six months, she never really liked anything. Baby food was lost on her, it was a sign because she continues to be really very difficult to feed.
I think it is payback because Jeremy always gave his brother a hard time for his very picky eater daughter. He swore that we would never fix separate meals for our kids, they would eat what we eat or they would go hungry (never say never).
Along comes Grace and here we are, trying to figure out what to feed her for dinner every night. Of course it is not what we are eating, some days she likes something, the next day she won't touch it. I think Grace might actually starve or live on potato chips, bananas and "flamingos" if we did not intervene.
This is why we are nervous about Zoe and her food faces...all girls can't be so picky, right? We are hoping for maybe not a great eater like Sage, but a bit better than Grace would be nice.
